No More Headmasters, Only Principals in Kerala Govt Schools

Heads of schools will hereafter be designated as principals rather than headmasters,as per the unified system of administration announced by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan for classes 1 to 12 in Kerala schools.

Pinarayi pointed out that pre-degree was detached from colleges in a bid to make it part of school education, at a meeting of the teacher’s associations.

Once the head becomes principal, it will  solve the problem of shortage of supporting staff

,CM said.

The chief minister promised to consider the proposal to rename aided schools as government-aided schools. Aided sector will not be kept away from academic matters.

The chief minister stressed the need for collective effort to increase working days at school.The transfer list of higher secondary teachers will be released after the Chengannur bypoll.Complaints about the arrears of dearness allowance of teacher will be examined.
